Holistic Naturopathic Treatments for Families & Children in South Caulfield!

Lyndell was first introduced to naturopathic medicine when, at the age of five, she suffered from chronic tonsillitis and after countless attempts of anti-biotics her family turned to looking at more alternative ways to resolve the problem. Years later at age sixteen, she suffered from a bad case of glandular fever and, again, resorted to alternative ways through naturopathic medicine to find treatment, which resulted in a quick recovery.  Many years later, this time when her own child suffering with severe GERD (silent reflux) as a baby which then developed extensive food intolerances, after following standard medical treatment, she sought naturopathic (& chiropractic) treatment to successfully resolve his health issues.

After her own personal health journey - it  became evident to Lyndell it was natural to seek complimentary medicine when conventional treatment did not work or have the answers so she  decided to study to become a qualified naturopath as her desire was to be able to help others, because she believes that we all deserve to be well and to have a choice in our healthcare.

Experience and Techniques?

Lyndell completed her Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy) at the highly regarded Southern School of Natural Therapies and has been in clinical practice for four years. She is a professional member of the Naturopaths and Herbalists Association of Australia (NHAA) and as such is required to undertake regular professional training. Lyndell has a certificate in Bio-energetic Medicine and finds this tool an essential component of holistic therapy. Bio-medicine provides information that indicate the body's priorities towards healing and the most effective pathway to resolving health issues. She integrates a functional medicine approach, using functional pathology where required, with bio-medicine to form a complete picture of your condition.

Recognising that the mind often needs as much support as our physical selves, she incorporates neuro-emotional technique (NET) and emotional freedom technique (EFT) with patients as required, along with flower essences. Often these simple yet effective methods allow a shift in thinking to lead to deeper healing.

Lyndell works collaboratively with her patients at a pace that feels comfortable for them. She sees her role as an advisor - someone to inspire her patients to adopt healthier habits, and to support them through the process. We are all works in progress but as long as we keep making positive changes, no matter how small, we can accomplish our goals.

Outside of work, Lyndell enjoys meeting friends at cafes and is grateful for the abundance of healthy cafes serving quality coffee in this area. She is an avid listener of podcasts, especially when out walking most days. Although she is a beginner gardener, she has plans to grow more herbs and vegetables in her back yard. Lyndell has been married to Geoff for over 20 years and has two teenage sons.
